President's Welcome

Welcome to the 2003 Middlesex and New Haven County 4-H Fair. As we enter our 77th year of a fully youth-run fair, I would like to commend all of the youth officers, superintendents, managers and exhibitors for making our fair a success. Further, I would like to extend my gratitude to all of the advisors, parents, club leaders, volunteers; for without your help and guidance, our fair would not be possible.

The Middlesex & New Haven County 4-H Fair has always presented a wonderful opportunity for youth to display their hard work and skills. Though this will always be a main focus of the fair, we are now moving to incorporate educating the public as an integral part of the event. In light of this, I encourage everyone to make it a goal to both teach someone about a favorite project as well as learn something yourself. In this way, at the close of the fair, I hope that you leave with more than blue ribbons and fond memories.

I wish all the exhibitors best of luck and hope that it proves an enlightening and enjoyable event for all!
