Pre-Fair
Wednesday, August 1st
Home Arts Exhibit Entries open from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Anyone can check in, bring their record book validation form and for livestock members, get their wrist band. Home arts exhibits can be entered at this time as well. This includes Almost a Clover members, 4-H Explorer Members, Discover Members and Over the Clover adults. We recommend that perishable items be brought in on Thursday, before 5:30.
Thursday, August 2nd
- Home Arts Exhibit Entries open from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
- All Home Arts Exhibits MUST be in place by 5:30 PM on Thursday.
- Home Arts judging begins at 6:00 PM.
Friday, August 3rd
- Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM – Livestock exhibitors who are managers can bring in their animal exhibits.
- From 2:00 to 5:00 PM – All other livestock exhibitors may bring in their animals.
Livestock exhibitors: Don’t forget to bring health forms – you need an arm band – if you didn’t get on one Wednesday or Thursday, there will be limited check in in the Home arts registration area – check in with Peggy.

2018 4-H Fair T-shirts
Abigail Dennison has supplied us with original artwork for this year's 4-H Fair T-shirt. T-shirts will be sold at the Fair.
The 2018 4-H Fair Theme is "Animals to show, Crafts to make, and Friends to Keep – 4-H" given to us by Abigail Dennison.
Best Routes to 4-H Fair
The North Branford Potato and Corn Festival (PoCo Fest) is also the first weekend in August and is located to the south of the 4-H Fair. PoCo Fest is located on Forest Road, Route 22 in North Branford. Route 77 from Route 80 in North Guilford is a better road to travel than is Route 22 from Route 80, to get to the 4-H Fair in Durham. The 4-H Fair opens at 8:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday, when all roads are clear.
At night, there can be a short delay entering Durham from Middletown due to construction on Route 17.
All other roads to the 4-H Fair are good.
JoAnn Fabric and Crafts
JoAnn's has partnered with 4-H: offering to 4-H members, their parents and 4-H volunteers; 15% discounts through 2018. During February in Connecticut, a paper clover campaign will provide more financial support for many of the 4-H programs (both county and state).
